My Birthday

Today is my birthday. This years haul included chains for my new-to-me SUV, a tent, web cam, long johns, the 10th anniversary dvd of "Mall Rats", six fillings and a tattoo. Over all, I'm very pleased with the wonderful gifts. I continue to be blessed with wonderful people who know just what to get me (the lists I send out might help a bit).
The tattoo was an interesting experience. It didn't hurt the way I thought it would at all. It wasn't the sort of pain I had prepared for. I was quite surprised to find it more of a burning sensation.... like someone blowing out a match and repeatedly touching the match head to my skin for an hour. Now that it's been a few hours, it still feels a little like a second degree burn. Still, I'd rather get another tattoo than go to the dentist any day. Now that it's done, and I'm extremely happy with the results (even with it being goofed a little), I don't ever have to do it again! People that say tattoos are addictive are certifiable!
